Trois Couleurs is a series of three films directed and written by Krzysztof Kieślowski. Based on each of three themes of the French flag, liberty, equality, and fraternity, the movies are meant to be viewed in that order: blue, white, and red. The movies are very elegant, subtle, and contain a lot of meaningful imagery that is often repeated across all three movies. As a result, the imagery on each of the covers themselves, when placed next to each other, flow into one another to make one large image. I also decided to utilize “blue” “white” and “red” as a way to distinguish each film and to emulate the French flag when looking at the spines lined up.
